Hey, I'm Sam​

I was born in Slovakia, and grew up in Germany and Hong Kong before finally settling in the UK.

​

I am at my happiest when I am out and about (preferably within easy reach of a good mountain!), discovering something new, especially if obscure and overlooked.

 

I love finding the small details and patterns in things that might otherwise be passed by. I love a perfect postcard shot, but I would rather it be of a faded brutalist building or a repetitive pattern, than a famous landmark.

I’m far from a professional. If you want to talk apertures or focal lengths, I’m not your guy. I shoot on a midrange compact camera (almost always on auto!) or my phone.

 

For me, the greatest satisfaction comes when finding a pattern or a moment that looks good. I want to share some of those interesting bits of the world I have found along the way.
